How Do I Join?
Head on over to register an account on the Joyful Journey 123 website, the home of this blog and ‘The Wayfinders Book Club.’
After registering, login and choose which format you would like to purchase. Each option is offered as a 4-month subscription. https://joyfuljourney123.com/shop/
One Book Club, Three Options.
~ All three options read the same book of the month.
~ All three options complete the same activity booklet.
~ Every wayfinder goes in the running to win prizes for completed challenges.
~ Both the ‘Monthly Wayfinders’ and ‘Weekly Read-Along’ options include Zoom meetings filled with faith and discernment building conversations, games and fun activities.
What Happens After I Join?
After you have registered, logged in and purchased the book club format that suits your family, you will be prompted to download the welcome letter for yourself and your child/ren.
Then, on the 1st of each month you will receive the PDF activity and discussion booklet straight to your email inbox.
Simply print and give it to your child/ren to enjoy as they read through the book of the month.
Where Do I Get the Book of the Month?
You can purchase a physical copy of the book, or a digital copy at ebooks.com. Every carefully selected book in ‘The Wayfinders Book Club’ will be accessible from ebooks.com.
Alternatively, there is a good chance your library will offer physical or digital copies for loan. Make sure to get in early so you can put a reservation in if the book is already loaned out. 🙂
Zoom Meeting Options
If you choose ‘The Monthly Wayfinders Book Club’ option, there will be a Zoom meeting on the last Monday of each month, 3pm Korean Standard Time (KST). We’ll have engaging chats about the books we’ve read and applying God’s truth to them. We’ll also have lots of fun playing games and sharing activities from our activity booklets with other wayfinders.
The weekly read along option includes two 40-minute Zoom reading meetups a week to support reluctant readers, and those who simply enjoy reading with others. These read-alongs will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3pm KST.
Is There a Subscription Cut Off?
Yes, the first 4-month subscription closes at the end of the first week of June.
Registration will reopen again three weeks before our next 4-month block. Don’t worry, we know how life gets, so we’ll send you a reminder e-mail when it’s time to resubscribe.
Why a 4-month Subscription?
We want to give parents flexibility. As parents ourselves, we’ve bought yearly subscriptions to educational services for our kids that they’ve grown bored of after a few months. We’re sure that won’t happen at ‘The Wayfinders Book Club’ 😊
But we know it’s a terrible feeling wasting 3/4 of a yearly subscription, so just in case.
Also, we understand that in many places the economy is rough. A 4-month subscription option makes payment easier. This book club is all about supporting your family!
