We are Jinho, Naomi, Sara, and Jinli. The Yu family homeschooling adventure began in Brisbane, Australia in 2022. We enjoyed it so much, we haven't looked back! Why did we decide to homeschool? I always had a heart for it, and there was no good reason not too!
Before I became a homeschool Mum, I, Naomi, worked as a language instructor in Australia and South Korea with my Griffith University master degree in teaching. Sara and Jinli atttended school. Everything was mainstream and fine. It was fun. I love teaching English. But, I couldn't shake the feeling that homeschooling was really the best for our family.
Seeing our children learn and grow in their God-given skills and talents is a blessing I wouldn't want to miss.
South Korea and
The Wayfinders
Book Club
This year, our homeschooling adventure continues in South Korea! Before moving from Brisbane I decided I would make Christian activity booklets to help parents navigate the wild world of children's literature. I wanted to help parents equip their kids by supporting them to have age-appropriate conversations about the unbiblical/woke themes that saturate the middle grade book market, and the wider culture in general.
After the move, I thought, why not a book club too! And that's how The Wayfinders Book Club came to be. We're very excited about the launch in June.
